The sisfur

When there's only one Momma, having a sisfur is hard. Latte's always THERE interrupting important Momma and Ellie time! Ellie's getting a lot of practice giving her sisfur dirty looks.




EM: Ellie Mae Kat [black, gorgeously floofy lady cat] 
L: Latte [tortie/tabby lady cat aka "Kitten"] 
MK: Momma Kat [Latte and Ellie's human Momma, named Kat]

Later ...

L: What are you doing?
EM: Nothing.
L: Okay. I'll help.
EM: Go away.
L: I'm good at doing nothing.
EM: You're also good at being annoying.
L: I'll snuggle with Momma!
EM: {mumbling to herself} Just because I wasn't snuggling with Momma at the moment doesn't mean I didn't want to ...





Even later ... 

EM: Having a sisfur is hard.
MK: I have enough love for both of you!
EM: Yeah, but she's always interrupting our cuddle time and playtime!
MK: Ellie, to be fair, I'm spending most of my time with you. How would you feel if I spent most of my time with Latte?
EM: Why would you want to do that?



MK: Ellie.
EM: Oh. You mean like how I didn't like you spending all your time with Bear so I had to sit in the Treat Man's lap?
MK: Yep.
EM: Huh. Having to go to him for love ...
MK: So can you maybe understand why Latte might be jealous?
EM: She's not trying to be annoying?
MK: I don't think so. Not usually.
EM: It's still annoying.


MK: I understand.
EM: Maybe she should get her own Momma.
MK: Ellie. Would you have wanted another Momma when I spent time with Bear?
EM: Erm ... no.
MK: So you understand?
EM: I'm still going to give her dirty looks.


MK: That's okay. I love you, Ellie Mae.
EM: I love you, too, Momma.

    I have been thinking of Latte a lot lately...maybe a tad more than Ellie for a change. I was wondering how she is holding up because giving attention when the other one is sick, it's darned hard

    I'm an only cat...the Lady says at least for now. I'm not sure I wanna share the Lady but it would be nice to have someone else to annoy. Because I know I would be annoying. ~Murphy

      My Mom said she felt she had to adopt a friend for me before she was ready. It's so tough for our humans to understand what we need. I just wanted Bear, even though he could be a jerk. ~Ellie Mae

    Latte is firmly in the family. She knows that. But yeah, she'd love the alone time when there is time for it. It's very very hard on everyone.
