Unfortunately, we didn't participate/link up in the last Pet Blogger Showcase, but in keeping with the tradition of this particular linky party, I'll share my three favorite link ups from the last Showcase.
After Bear's tumor scare, which I shared in Too Close to a Nightmare I Couldn't Handle, I've been especially cognizant of the issue of cancer in our fur babies. I know the agony involved in finding an inexplicable lump, choosing surgery, and waiting for a diagnosis. While this post is geared toward Chihuahuas, it's a good guide for all pet parents and an excellent reminder that our fur babies are just as susceptible to health problems as people are.
One of my favorite things about blogging is creating a permanent record of Bear's life that I can cherish long after he leaves me. There are so many things one thinks she'll remember about all the little quirks, daily habits, and funny stories of the furries we love so much. But as I learned with Kitty, important details are lost over time. In celebrating Ducky's fourth Gotcha Day with this post, we learn about many of the pieces that add up to the incredible whole of being Ducky. I dare you to read about her and not fall in love with her yourself. I especially liked the comment about Ducky making everyone laugh, because Bear does that for me everyday too. It's like they know exactly what we need and when to give it to us!
Nose works involves training pet dogs to detect and differentiate scents. I knew nothing about the topic and so I enjoyed learning about it and learning about Luke's progress in the sport that's fun for reactive dogs.

Delete"One of my favorite things about blogging is creating a permanent record of Bear's life that I can cherish long after he leaves me." So, so true. I cherish Truffles' posts even more now that she's gone.
ReplyDeleteI struggled so much with taking decent pictures that I quit entirely until I started our blog. I'm so glad I did try again, if for no other reason than I have pictures of Bear and all his quirks. I never did get one of his tongue sticking out just SLIGHTLY when he slept. I'd give just about anything for one of those, but he outgrew it after a few years :(
DeleteWe had not heard of this hop previously. It seems supper cool, and we will try to join in the future. We are going to visit a couple of the other participating blogs. Thanks for letting us know about this. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

DeleteHello such a nice post and yes of course, we are waiting for your next post. After facing challenges for leaving my sweet puppy in grooming station I feel very sad but thanks to the team of Bone Sweet Bone they treat my puppy like my home. If you could write a post on grooming shelter then it will help people like me.
